Express Vending are a leading vending machine supplier of high quality coffee machines and vending services within London and the UK.  They operate vending machines across more than 4000 sites in London, and pride themselves on delivering high standards and meeting a wide variety of different business’s needs.

Challenge

Express Vending were reviewing their password policies, to see if there was a more efficient solution to their current one.
The monthly password policy reset which they were using, meant that when passwords needed to be changed, users would have to click into each office application and reset their password. This is obviously quite inconvenient – changing passwords takes time, and if not done to a good standard, can put the user at risk of a security breach.

Solution

As an alternative solution to this timely task, T-Tech recommended that Express Vending move to Azure Seamless Single Sign-on. Seamless SSO automatically signs users in when they are on their devices connected to your corporate network. When enabled, users don't need to type in their passwords to sign in to Azure AD, and usually, even type in their usernames. This feature provides users with easy access to all cloud-based applications.

Outcome

All users at Express Vending are now on the single sign-on set up, and the benefits to this are:
  • Great user experience: users are automatically signed on to their applications, which means they don’t have to enter passwords repeatedly
  • Easy to deploy, meaning roll-out was simple and had no effect on users
  • If it fails for any reason (which is shouldn’t) the user sign-in experience will just revert to the regular way, i.e. user to enter their password
  • Supported on multiple web browsers
Overall, Express Vending are very satisfied with the results of the Seamless SSO project. Giving Express users back their time allows them to work more efficiently and productively, and ultimately provide the best service that they can to their clients.
